Mill Hill is located in a tree lined rural setting in Suffolk, with a large well stocked reservoir and views over open farmland to all sides of the campsite. A peaceful and tranquil place relax and take in the surroundings or as a base to explore Suffolk. Only a limited number of units can be accommodated so it is recommended to book as early as possible to reserve a pitch. The site can accommodate tents caravans and motorhomes. The site is very popular with hikers, cyclists, bird and wildlife watchers fishermen and those who just wanting to relax in beautiful surrounds. The site has its own well stocked reservoir for the keen fisherman and is only a few miles from the coast for sea fishing. You don't need to travel more than a couple of miles in any direction to enjoy nature at its most wild and unspoilt.

There are 70 pitches and most have electric hook ups. Pitches are very generous and are available for touring caravans, motorhomes or tents. Subject to availability seasonal pitches are also available for tourers.
This site has a shower and toilet block with facilities for disabled people.

Last  Review Of Mill Hill Farm Caravan And Campsite
Our first visit to this beautiful site. The site is in two sections, a caravan site with grass and willow trees on the main area, and a camping caravan section under development with hundreds of new trees planted to define the areas. The view is completely rural all round, not a building in sight. Facilities are of good standard and include wc / showers including a separate disabled toilet/shower, washing and laundry room on both areas. A dedicated walking area for dogs is at the far end of the site with mown walkways running through and around a natural wild grass / clover meadow. A ball games area is also defined and far enough away to avoid annoyance to campers yet within sight for safety. A gate leads to the 28 foot deep fishing lake, well stocked with carp etc, fishing is free to campers.. Close to the site is a well stocked farm shop (although the site does sell a few basics). On the main A12 is a petrol / diesel station with coffee shop and stores, a main line railway station and cafe opposite. Costal locales are Dunwich. Southwold, Aldeburgh are all within easy reach and are ideal destinations for a beach without rides and amusements. Certainly a family run campsite that I will visit again

"For a basic rural experience with a touch of class, you won't go far wrong with the Queens Head. Just a small 5 pitch caravan site (tents are allowed) grass area at the rear of the pub with access to the pub toilets from outside when closed. A shower / sauna is under construction and ehu is on the cards. The village is steeped in history  (Witchfinder General territory) The Inn itself is a blend of both old and new, the landlord and staff operate a quality kitchen serving fantastic food, there is a selection of very good ales. The fun side of things is when the Landlord swaps roles with the vicar during the beer festival/hog roast and village fête weekend. The camping fees for 2010 was £3 a night tent or £5 caravan.

" Our second visit to this excellent site. On arrival you are required to pull up to the card operated barrier, the owner comes to greet and escort you to you chosen pitch, either in the family or adult only area, you are then left to set up before completing the financial transactions. A £10 deposit is required for the barrier card refunded on departure. Pitches are both hard standing or grass on fairly level ground, the many water and electric points have illumination for after dark use. All facilities are of the highest standard and include wc / showers including a separate disabled facility, washing and laundry rooms surrounded by landscaped raised borders and block paving. WI-Fi has now been added to the site with no extra charge for using it. A dedicated short walk area for dogs is at the far end of the site running about 500 yard alongside a field, however there are plenty of longer walks around the village. The main A14 is nearby and although traffic can be heard, it is not really too noticeable. A minor well used road fronts the site and leads to the village a mile away which has a garage / fuel, post office / stores, chemist, fish & chip shop and pub. The town of Bury Saint Edmunds is 4 miles from the site and well worth a visit for the Cathedral, Abbey Gardens, many shops and Market. If you intend to visit East Anglia, this site is one for consideration." Reviewed by Bob
